Double Crush Syndrome

Double crush syndrome (DCS) involves the compression of a peripheral nerve at two distinct sites. The upper extremity illustration depicts simultaneous compression of cervical nerve roots and the median nerve at the transverse carpal ligament. The lower extremity illustration depicts simultaneous compression of the L5 nerve root and the common peroneal nerve at the fibular head.
